SS Shirala was a 5,306-ton passenger and cargo ship built by A & J Inglis, Glasgow in 1901 for The British India Steam Navigation Company.
She lies on her port side. She is an amazing sight to behold with some of her guns pointing towards the surface.
On 2nd May 1918, she was on a voyage from Newhaven to Calais with a cargo of ordinance and sunk by the German submarine UB-57
