On 2nd May 1918, she was on a voyage from Newhaven to Calais with a cargo of ordinance and sunk by the German submarine UB-57
SS Luxor was a defensively-armed British merchant ship built in early 1918, she had a very short life indeed.
On 14th February 1918 she was torpedoed & sunk by UB57 under the command of Johannes Lohs while carrying grain, general cargo and munitions.
